Spiritual education is something that should be done in the family where parents take the lead role.  At Unity Chapel of Light we want children to meet in a safe, secure environment where they can explore different possibilities for themselves and feel supported on their personal journey.  We want to support parents in setting a positive example for the leaders of tomorrow.  The following principles guide every lesson and activity that we plan:

*      God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.

*      People are naturally good because God's Divinity is in everyone.

*      Through affirmative prayer and meditation, we can each connect with God and bring out the good in life.

*      Our experiences are created by what we choose to think, feel and believe.

*      We live the truth we know.  Each of us makes a difference!

*      Unity leaves no one out.  We value diversity and teach respect and tolerance for others.  We enjoy one another and have fun in a spiritual environment.

Children at Unity are given many opportunities to explore their talents and share them with people.   They are taught self-respect and strive to be of service to the community.  We use music, dance, art, crafts, drama and stories that uplift and inspire.   We value Bible literacy and discuss the spiritual insights that can be gained from traditional Bible stories.  Traditions and stories from other cultures and spiritual teachings are also incorporated.     Our Sunday services are at 11:00am.

*      Unitots (0-4 years old) taught by Lynn Starling
